“Daddy, you want milk gravy tonight?” I loved how Ma-Maw always called PaPaw “Daddy”. There was an ease between them and their home was my retreat and safety zone – I could always go there and exhale. Be myself. Now I share that with my husband.

A common practice on my dad’s side of the family. Ed was always ‘Dad’ before our granddaughter was born. Now he’s ‘Papa’ when Jaycee is around and ‘Dad’ when Miranda is who I’m talking to. I love that you do this, Eddie!
