So true, so true!

In my family, the gay son never told anyone, moved to the city, and refused to speak to his grandparents or father. Decades without contact. The grandparents are now dead; the father without hope of ever seeing/hearing from his son. How heartbreaking for both. Be true to yourself and allow others the same privilege. Don’t assume a negative reaction when none was ever given.

    Pam-

    I’m so sorry…

It is never my intent to give advice or try to change peoples minds. But simply share my story and issues that touch my heart. My experience.
Adapting to change or difference can push us far outside our comfort level. It can sometimes cause anger, disappointment and great heartache. Being patient – with yourself and with others. Giving people – especially those we love – time to process and adjust. And trying to never assume the worst.

I’m so sorry this happened within your family. I really appreciate you sharing your experience. And for reading Farm Stories.
Much love and healing to all…

Thank you for your kind words. I can only love them all and be accepting (warts and all, as we would say). I appreciate your blog and your honesty with your life experiences.

Blessings and much love to you!
