I’m so happy that many have remembered ‘The Smart Shop’! It reminds me of that beautiful, sleepy little town that Oakland City was then. As always your loving support means so much to me…

Yes, indeed, I remember that shop, a boutique where frequent customers were called on the telephone so they could be the “first” to wear the season’s newest dresses. And, your mother was perfect for those dresses.

Eddie – my first memory of your mom was a photograph taken at your wedding. Yes, I’ve come late to the party of Eddie Casson but there was so much love within the photograph. You were lovingly looking at her and if memory serves me correctly it was on the stairs. Although I didn’t know you well I knew of the bond between you and your mom. This story brings that bound even closer for me. Like others who have commented you have a way of remembering the finer details of any time spent. This is magic to me. Thank you for sharing this magic once more with us. I await the next blog entry!

xoxo
