Eddie, how did I miss this one?

Kat -thank you for speaking for many of us who suffer from depression. I know that I’m not perfect and I believe it’s my imperfections that make me who I am. Your writing was so poignant for me as I’m feeling fragile right now.. Today I was thinking how much I love everything that are imperfect. It seems everyone wants perfection. As I looked around my home I see someone who lives within and not a show home. I see objects that are a combination of handmade, store bought, given; all are loved and respected. As I read the portion of rose petals fallen to the ground I think my own garden. It’s WILD this year and it’s messy. It’s filled with plants that friends loved so I bought them and somehow have blended them all together. I generally like a controlled garden but wow do I love the messy wild magic it is. Kinda sum ups how I feel sometimes about my own depression. Thank you Eddie for sharing Kat’s words and for placing it on FB today…I needed to read this today!

I’m go happy you were able to connect to Kat’s beautiful and poignant words. We were grew up together in Indiana and she always looked at the world with kind eyes and had this incredible poetic voice. She and I share the same birthday. I was as moved by this writing as you are.
I’ve read your message to Kat and am moved by your words as well. You describe emotions so beautifully it’s like looking at a photograph. Thank you always for your amazing support…
    Love and Glitter always

You’ve both moved me to happy tears with your lovely posts. Bruce, I’m so very happy that my words touched you in a good way! They came from a period of transition of darkness moving into the light. I was realizing that, even in the midst of my sadness, I could still find a fragile beauty. Although I’ve written a few things, here and there, none of them are ones I felt like sharing. They’re much darker and I don’t think most people would respond to them as well. If I get inspired again, I’ll post one. Never hesitate to call upon me if you need a shoulder. We need to stick together! Tossing glitter for my brother from another mother, Eddie, too. xoxo <3
