Loved this story about mamaw, if only there were more mamaws alive today, the kids these days could see the love of yesteryears. I am glad you felt so loved by someone in your younger days. Just only wish the story was longer, Oh the happy days of our youth!!!!

Everyone should have a Mamaw like that, and know she is still with you, smiling down and saying “that’s my Eddie” I never had a grandmother like that, but did an Aunt Emma, that was like a grandmother to me.

Love this! I was so young when Mamaw died I don’t remember much. But, you have always kept her alive in my mind with memories of the wonderful person she was. I’m forever grateful to you for this and so many other things. Love you, Sissy

It’s truly a wondrous moment in time when someone “sees” you and we can reflect back to them who we truly are. No filter. No worries. Just be. It’s so pure. Those who let us shine make all the difference in the world. I love this story Eddie as my Gramma was the same. She got me and loved, me..

Great story Eddie. Reminds me of my Grandma, Mom and even myself. I still have an iron skittle and use it and, yes still usr Bacon grease…only on occasion so I can reminisce anout the past. You were so very lucky to have her. I know you and she had an extra special bond. Keep up the great work!!!!

I loved this story I guess because I never had a grandmother granddaughter relationship, I have to admit I’m a little jealous.I always said when I have grandkids they are going to have the best mamaw ever and so far Sam and I have become fairly good at it. We let them be who they are even at this young age , we want them to know we love them unconditionally every single day and that they can come talk to us or just sit quietly until they are ready to say something. I also want to say I know this article was about your me-maw but is that it papaw sitting next to U gazing at you with nothing but pure love radiating towards you. Whoever it is my eyes kept going back to his face he just looks so happy. I love you! Xoxo

MonaBaby- Have no doubt your an AMAZING grandmother as I’ve experienced first hand the incredible woman and friend. My grandparents made me feel like I lived in the Land of Oz!!!! Which is where I needed to be.. My Uncle just recently gave us those photos and this one was the grand slam. There were very few photos taken back then and to have one between the two loves of my life!!! Thank you so much for reading and sharing your voice with Farm Stories. Love you xoxo
