I loved Waffle, too. Her open mindedness and joyful embrace of life was so refreshing. Our mothers were childhood friends, so it was natural that she became one of my first friends as a child. Love and miss her.

Do you still have the tie dyed shirt? I still have the beautiful, pearly, white, sequined clutch purse you gave me…for no reason…other than being my friend. I had told you my Granddaughter was in tears that I wouldn’t let her have it. I did tell her she could use on a “date” with her boyfriend to go to “Chuckie Cheese”. When she reluctantly gave it back. I carefully rewrapped it in the plastic bag it is kept in and told her that someone very special had given it to me and I am going to keep it “forever”, but when I am gone to Heaven, it would be her’s. I also have the elaborate, beautiful, pencil drawn portrait of me that you drew at home and brought it to church and gave it to me. The likeness is remarkable. You have the most talented hands and eyes for art and the mind for words. You are an all around talented, beautiful, inside and out, person who I am so blessed to call my best male friend. I love you with all my heart and soul. XOXOXO <3

Wonderful, wonderful stories! I must say, I’m always impressed when I’m immediately drawn into a story as I was with the last two stories. I find myself already experiencing that “wish it wasn’t over feeling” that one has when they’ve just finished one of those “best book I’ve ever read” books. As others have said, your stories leave the reader with the desire for more. You have the rare gift of embracing your readers and transporting them into another time, place and circumstance with your written word. A fabulous gift to have! I feel so honored you’ve invited us to see into your world Eddie and I wait with great anticipation for your next story, your book, the sequel and…(is it too soon to mention)…the Series? 😉 Eagerly awaiting another great read!

A common theme in these comments and previous posts is that you leave the reader wanting more. This, I’m sure is the aim of every writer. I too eagerly await the next blog post. Now as this is the 3rd or 4th reading for me I continue to pick up another nuisance in your writing, again another aim of every writer. Bravo!

Wow, I really don’t want to be repetitive but wow, Yes I’m ready for the next scene… Love your writing. .. I so remember her, actually saw her a few months before her passing, she was getting a perm and had the most beautiful long hair, I think they piggy Backed the rollers three times. The stylist asked me what I wanted, and I said her hair..LOL. Reading your writings make be reflect on times gone by, just how much we stick back in that space that we really don’t think we needed to remember. …. Thank you so much for sharing this…. xoxo

Marlon thank you so much for your support with Farm Stories!!! Waffling was one of the 1st stories I wrote ten years ago… This was an excerpt from a much fuller story in my book…. Sadly Waffle passed away several years ago…. I feel she would smile at my beautiful memory of her amazing free spirit….

    Yes, don’t remember a time Cher wasn’t in my Universe….. LOL….

Oh wow, what a journey we just went on. Waffle was my sister-in-law and she treated my sister and I like her little sisters. Even after she wasn’t my sister-in-law anymore, I still loved her like a sister. I saw her from time to time over the years and was devastated when she was killed in a horrible car crash. Thanks for the memories.

Tammy thank your for visiting Farm Stories and reading Waffling…. This is a small excerpt from a larger story in my book…. It was actually the 1st story I write ten years ago when I started working on Farm Stories…. I wanted to capture her beautiful free spirit,,,, I believe I did… I had not seen or talked to her in many years…. I’m so sorry for your loss…. And happy it moved you…..
